I was thinking of doing the same thing! Thank you for saying this, I wasn't sure if it would work. I tried moving my shares to fidelity, but it would cost half of what my shares are worth and I don't have that kind of money.
When people did it a lot, it was free fidelity waved or paid the cost.
I'm going to keep everything I have in place,we are to close to the end, to be moving shares around, IMAO.

Just buy new shares on the other broker no need to move.
