Lightning is debt / IOU based and broken by design as it requires block size over 100MB to onboard the amount of users to reach the goal set by Satoshi (Electronic Cash for the world). This is even written in the Lightning whitepaper and with BTC refusing to go the path of BCH with properly increased block size or hard forks you will be fucked.

Lightning is pre-signed on-chain transactions, those signatures are updated without being broadcast. It's very simple. Chain security is always present. You're just a retard.
A lightning channel takes 50vB to open, 144KvB are mined in a day. That's 3M channels a day or 1B channels a year... learn to use a calculator.
Blockstream is indeed a shit company probably controlled by blackhats, that just shows how high the stakes are... but you're also free to verify the code you run including code that existed before Blockstream which is still compatible today.

To send money with LN other people need to actively have money online in LN. They need to have enough liquidity in their channel for you to be able to send your tokens from a to b. That's so fucking dumb it's hard to describe.
If you are dependent on third party liquidity to be able to do transaction then you are using a monetary system for retards.
Block stream is the basis for both Lightning and Segregated Witness that Lightning requires again. If the company that push those this is known for its black hat ways, why the fuck do you not connect the dots that Segregated Witness, REPLACE BY FEE and Lightning are just tools from blackhats to fuck ordinary people over and to destroy the main competitor against central bank control; Peer to peer electronic cash.
And since the main argument for small blocks in BTC is decentralization, just realize that it will only be big liquidity operators that will be able to process big and many transaction which in turn will centralize the liquidity system.

Lightning is just a reusable chain transaction, completely permissionless. Satoshi creates payment channels long before blockstream existed.
