One of the perks/check of the welfare system within that church is speaking with local clergy leadership & establishing a plan to get off of the assistance. Free food & free housing isn't just given, it is given in exchange for education & self improvement. There are occasional times where a person cannot do much at all for the help they recieved. Though even sending a group text, or typing up event programs for others to get printed & handed out is something that almost everyone can do & gives them a sense of self worth because they do what temhey can for what they receive.
That said, during disasters that church does an incredible amount of help & service for free to help get communities back on their feet & recognize that they will not get earthly blessing, though are helping as they believe the Savior would if he was here with the limited abilities that we as humans have here on earth.
Sure they get paid from tithes & donations. Though those donations are freely given & at any point a member can simply refuse because they don't agree any longer. Try to do that with the pyramid that is government & you will be hunted, imprisoned & ultimately killed for not giving them their unearned tax. If individuals freely want to give their excess to help a church improve the world & pay some executives/employees for work they would be paid to do in the private sector, that is just inspiring to me specifically because they can stop that donation at any point in time if they wish. The counter point almost always is that "then you can't go to the temples". I see this similar to if you want to shop at Costco, you pay the membership fee. If not, you are free to partake of the plethora of other options.
Ultimately I can see validity in the concern of faking membership/conversion. Though I can see an argument that Judas was potentially just a faking conversion as a member of the 12 Apostles. Jesus still accepted him & worked with him to try & help Judas.
I would argue that SLC is a mess due to leftist politicians ramming Democrat/marxist policies on the people who live there & the woke culture the government in SLC seems to wholeheartely endorse. Early LDS prophecies state that Salt Lake will be one of the most wicked cities in the last days.
If Trump has taught me one clear thing, it is that great individuals may seem to be doing the wrong thing simply to survive in the wicked world they are surrounded by (ie lifelong Democrat Trump in NYC jumping to Republicans to become president).
Utah should send them right back
How about giving them NOTHING and enforcing local laws and codes- no free shit = move along themselves
Make it clear that they need to go to DC to get that "free" stuff...
