My son told me about a year or two ago that schools aren't teaching cursive to his stepchildren in elementary school. I told him they (him & his wife) better start teaching them at home then, it's important. And as much as my son hated cursive writing when he was in school, he agreed with me and said they had already started teaching the kids at home to write in cursive.
