She was frequenting dating websites. I know some inside stuff about this because Rachel’s best friend was my sister’s old skating coach when we lived up there. That person was interviewed by local news but I’m not gonna post her name. The problem is- both had FB pages. Her friend has a really prominent public one and it’s shocking how many bikini pics and personal info she posts. You could glean all kinds of stuff including where she works and what she does for fun, including skating, the beach, burning man, all kinds of stuff. These are/were single moms living alone. People try to warn them..... but they won’t listen. There are a lot of stalkers online even if you never talk to them personally. They monitor your every move. It’s appalling and frightening as shit. Who knows how Rachel connected with this perp but it could have been FB. It could have been a dating site.

I’m glad they arrested him but at what point do people wake up and realize they are not safe, what they’re doing online is completely idiotic and pointless and they’re also putting their children at risk.
