Maybe I’m not tech savvy, but why does this crap even exists on the dark web? Can’t authorities take it down in minutes? Sorry for the dumb question.

No such thing as a dumb question.

My understanding is that you have to know where the site “lives” before you can even attempt to take it down.

If I build a site at pdiddy.io and put strict controls on those who get access, I can keep it secret - for a while.

That’s how it works essentially. You have to know the right domain, passcodes - and often have to supply images of CP - before you’re allowed to access.
