A thought that just occurred to me is that the amount of hype and blowup we created over this may be the reason there haven't been a dozen others this bad since. I think they get cold feet and try something else somewhere else. It's not ideal but the more we keep them running and scrambling the better.

I’d say you’re right, but don’t forget about predictive programming, the movie “White Noise” is a chilling foreshadowing of what was to come
