Douglas County Judge Christina Peterson was charged with simple battery victim against a police officer at the Red Martini Restaurant and Lounge on Peachtree Street.
A police report said an off-duty Atlanta police officer was working at the bar when he saw a woman who was crying.
While the officer tried to speak with the woman, he was struck on the head by Peterson, according to an arrest report. It is unclear whether Peterson knew the woman who was crying.

This may be off base but something needs to be done with judges in this country. They have far too much power and are hardly ever elected. Term limits should apply to all of the house and senate and all of the judges from the small town in alabama to the supreme court. After 2-4-6 years they are out. Watching some of these f2ckers run their court room you would think the king of kings came down to preside. Corruption. Getting rid of a judge now is like getting rid of cockroaches.
Here in oklahoma, they stand for election every so many years,to be retained or dissmised.
That is a great thing. It should be implemented everywhere.
