A forty five year Missionary from Scotland once told me that when he arrived in Zimbabwe in 1947 he was trying to save souls. He said that it took him 15 years before he realized they "were not immoral but rather pre-moral." So he spent the next 30 years teaching hygiene ,irrigation ect.
