The Viet Nam issue alone is soul-crushing. As a first-hand witness of what abuse our veterans endured from their own country when they got home and the drug problems rhey came home with (not just excessive pot dependency... they started shooting up while enlisted..) Two friends were lost. One a helo pilot who flew in and airlifted comrades out and was MIA and another from drugs. I'm sure all soldiers from all wars are damaged people. But with Viet Nam they had 2-tier, punished when they came home. And now to endure facing that the whole war was a lie.
