And, in that debate he was in the weaker position. The Billy Bush tape had been released and then candidate Trump needed a curveball to overcome the smear job.

Except... Trump was in the weaker position for all of 2016. All the polls were against him and in the tank for Killary, and everyone was saying he could never win.

I appreciate the friendly debate. Would a curveball be necessary, or even effective against an opponent who barely has a grip on reality? It’s likely he wouldn’t even realize it was thrown.

No, I don't think it's necessary tonight -- though it could be effective against someone like FJB, who's out of touch and probably also in a state of information overload after a week in debate camp with 16 aides!

It's just that apparently PDJT has something in the works tonight even so. His call, not mine. ;~)
