When did "sex" and "gender" cease to be synonymous with each other in respect to a person's physical attributes?
Never. Gender is just a more "genteel" :), polite, family-friendly way of referring to the male and female of a species without using the word sex, with all its obvious "sexual behavior" connotations.
Gender is also perfectly accurate usage, as it is directly related to the words gene, genetics, genitalia, generation, genuine, progeny, genus, etc.
IMHO, unlike the left, the right should use words to mean what they actually mean. The notion that biological sex and gender are somehow different feeds the purple-haired, tackle-faced narrative about being able to "choose" your gender. You can't choose your gender. It's either XX or XY in every single cell of the body, in 99.997% of human births.
These are literally the "facts of life" :p
it's a crazy ass world.
