Going shopping used to be a pleasant experience until the face mask came into play. I'm retired and live in the country. I go to town about twice a month. The store employees and other customers used to smile. Than came the mask and 6 foot distancing crap. Now that that's all over with, things just never went back to where it was. Is it just me or does it seem like people have lost their people skills? Customer service sucks and the other shoppers have this tunnel vision. Has anybody else noticed this?

I think a huge part of Covid was killing customer service. They used to be 24 hours store, when you called customer service line they prided themselves by letting you know how many minutes you had to wait. Now I can wait up to 30 to 40 minutes just to talk to a person about some thing regarding customer service. People don’t smile, and they are entitled. They act as if they’re doing you some service by showing up to work because during Covid they were deemed essential workers. That was just another part of the psychological operation.
