If Joe's' donors back out (as some have already done), wouldn't that effectively end his candidacy in a short period of time? I can see the donors being the deciding factor that would overrule the family's staunch refusal to let Joe remove himself.

Wait a sec tho... How does that work exactly?
I mean let's say you make a donation to, I dunno - some charity that hates white people - like the salvation army for instance... and you write them a check... and they cash it and it's in the bank.
How are you going to get your donation back? Do you cancel the check through the bank and suck up the $35 fee or whatever? Is that how it's done or ???
I don't know because I don't do chit like that...
My point was that the party can't transfer any of Joe's donations to anyone else, and if his donors back out (as in pledging a certain amount and then not paying it), he's out that $$. I also assume if you donated a large amount and then really threw a fit, the party would refund it to you. That's not a given, though.
It's all a mess, that's for sure!
Yeah I agree - I wasn't trying to break balls, was just curious how the whole Indian giving thing worked in the modern age ...
