Brits are waking up today to a new government. I’ve expressed my pig ignorance of British politics in the past, and some of my friends from across the pond have helped, but it is still a bit of a confusing mess. Even some of them seem a little confused.
But my takeaway from the results comes from a statement Trump made a few years ago about RINOs being the most dangerous faction in US politics. With libs and Patriots you know what you can expect. RINOs are slithery eels who smile while they stuff a knife in your gut.
With that in mind, the rise of Reform in England is much like the rise of the MAGA coalition in Congress.
The Brit election hired a liberal Labour majority, but the big news is that the Tories, who are the RINO equivalents, were tossed in the gutter, while Reform came out of nowhere to become the opposition party, with Reform leader, Nigel Farage, winning his new seat.
Trump is a big fan of Farage.
Reform was a far distant dark horse until very recently. Their second place finish, considering the cheating in the system, is a political earthquake.
Getting rid of the Tories is a big first step in righting the British ship. Now Labour can step in it in full view with a MAGA analogue holding their feet to the fire in Reform.
It’s a long road back for the Brits, but they have officially started the drive.
Yes, Reform UK got about 40% of the votes that Labour got but only about 1% of the seats Labour got.
