There are HUNDREDS and THOUSANDS of us still suffering with a loan that we should have NEVER had to take out. There are so many small businesses, that managed to survive the COVID nonsense, who are STILL struggling to get caught up.
The hardship programs are just a temporary bandaid. The loan terms are 30 years and people are struggling to make their payments. What happens when it is sent to Treasury you ask? They shorten the term to roughly 10 years and tack on a 10% fee. What a JOY!
Putting this into his campaign would be huge for the heart of America.
Feeling frustrated this morning that we have been forgotten about. I could go on and on. 😞 Thanks for listening. 🖤
My business was closed for a few months too. I used savings and frugality to get by. I had rent to pay as well. My inventory was trapped in a closed building that I couldn’t access for months. I still haven’t recovered fully. I didn’t take their EIDL money. I could see it was a trap. I also paid for my daughters college and didn’t have her take out college loans that other will pay back. I also do not have others pay for my food, rent or welfare and I am opposed to doing that for others not obviously disabled. Sorry, no. You took the loan, YOU pay it back.
The shut- down was government caused. It was essentially a “taking.”
Like the fake debt currency , was a "taking" of money. When money returns debt currency will be cheap...most won't want or need it. Those with loans may need it for a while.
Your stance is probably one I would have as well if I hadn't lived through this nightmare.
I am feeling grateful you were in a financial place to make the decision you did.
Sadly, our business was a year and a half old with a large 7A, plus operating expenses, hanging over our heads. It wasn't in the cards to personal fund this business. We had no option.
We aren't going to agree on this, so this will be my last reply. Have a great day.
