There are HUNDREDS and THOUSANDS of us still suffering with a loan that we should have NEVER had to take out. There are so many small businesses, that managed to survive the COVID nonsense, who are STILL struggling to get caught up.
The hardship programs are just a temporary bandaid. The loan terms are 30 years and people are struggling to make their payments. What happens when it is sent to Treasury you ask? They shorten the term to roughly 10 years and tack on a 10% fee. What a JOY!
Putting this into his campaign would be huge for the heart of America.
Feeling frustrated this morning that we have been forgotten about. I could go on and on. 😞 Thanks for listening. 🖤
I shut down my business in 2021 after 36 years pf prosperity. I dumped money into it for over a year to keep it going but since I am in my 70's I just decided to close rather than apply for covid relief money.
I learned my lesson is 2008 and had all my equipment loans paid off except for a truck. Materials was a different story but I muddled through for the couple months they closed the building departments and didnt let us work in Michigan. Finally one of my builders said fuck it and we worked without inspection on already permitted work. Never did ask him about the fall out from that but nothing happened to me. Soon after that the building departments opened back up.
One of my suppliers put stickers on their trucks saying we had to remain 6 feet away from the truck and we couldnt use the hose to wash our tools only the driver could. Stopped using them and havent gone back.
We definitely wish we would have chosen differently. I'm so sorry to hear that things had to close.
It took a while for me to get used to retirement since I started working when I was in the 3rd grade mowing yards in the neighborhood in Houston. Retirement has gotten better in the last year or so since I am getting used to being at home around the little lady all the time. I've had to learn to keep my mouth shut unless I am spoken to! Keke
