Not particularly. They trace their ideological roots to the enlightenment. As do all the political ideologies and ideas of the late 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. As do the Communists they were such voracious opponents of. Hell there are some pieces of the enlightenment the Globalists use as cornerstones of their ideology.
There was a whole hell of a lot of lot more to the enlightenment thought then Natural Rights, Freedom of Speech and outlining Republican principles and Government. And most ideologies of the past 150-200 odd years. Repackaged and rebranded ideas originally set down in the enlightenment.
What I was more so referring to was the fact meaningful criticism of Republicanism, Democracy, or the Enlightenment. Up until comparatively recently. Frequently got one banished to fringe circles. And often tarred with labels meant to shutdown and delegitimize the Criticism. Even if the criticism was leveled by someone who otherwise supported those ideas.
As the system seeks to protect and reproduce itself. The people are conditioned to react as the immune system. Isolating and cauterizing any potential challenge to the status quo. And the status quo is what morphed into the oligarchic Hegemony masquerading as a Republic the U.S turned into.
For a couple centuries we’ve essentially been stagnant as far as political thought goes. Mostly focused on repackaging and weaponizing some part of the enlightenment. To combat another totally different weaponized portion of enlightenment thinking.
