Hi, I lost 90lbs on my own. I did see a weight loss nutritionist who very half-assedly in 2016 tried to put me on a keto diet, knowing it was going to fail because she didn't give me all the facts to be successful. She tried to convince me to get my stomach stapled. I said no. Then I started my weight loss journey. It has taken me 5 years also, heaviest at 240lbs (which doesn't seem like a lot, but I am really short) now down to 143lbs, and I had a pregnancy in that time frame. I did do extended fasts of no eating for two weeks multiple times before I got pregnant. This helped the most and I had the most energy during those times.
Maybe taking semaglutides is a good idea for some; I argue not, because if you look at all the risks of it, is it really worth it? I've almost lost two good people in my life to ozimpec and wegovy side effects. One is almost all recovered, but the other is still not doing very well and might need surgery due to stomach blockages.
Also, this class of medications is available to ALL, not just diabetics.
I personally think crack cocaine would be safer than Ozimpec or Wegovy, especially if it "were monitored by a doctor". Why don't they use safer drugs for weight loss assistance? I think the main side effects of crack cocaine is selling magazines and smoking cheese. Good drugs make your dick small. Bad drugs cause stomach necrosis.
I personally know a doctor who was, until these past few months, was pro-Covid shots. He was against semaglutides from the get-go, but all in for the mRNA death shots. He still refuses to prescribe semaglutides.
I'm not saying anything negatively towards you and your weight loss journey; congratulations. What I am saying is that your argument that it is impossible to lose weight on their own, without any medical assistance, is not true. Also, you have some facts wrong regarding losing weight.
If you want to get rid of your diabetes permanently, I suggest you look at Dr. Jason Fung's book, the Diabetes Code, and for weight loss, his book, the Obesity Code. He tells you how to get rid of both issues without drugs via diet and fasting.
I'm living proof that it does work, and it has helped many others.
Isn't it amazing how getting the facts, makes a difference? Those 17 vials of blood were explained to me, in layman's terms. I am not medically trained, but the cause and effect were explained to me, in such a way as it made sense.
Then, knowing that the weight didn't come on all at once; it was impractical to expect it to come off. But cutting carbs was easier than I had imagined. Being a steak and potatoes guy - learning to use Cauliflower in the Instant Pot, then adding cream cheese, butter and pepper - that we made was as good, or better than mashed potatoes. And best of all - I wasn't starving all the time.
Going ot look at Dr. Jason Fung's book, as you suggest. We are fighting a huge sugar industry - and the damage they have done to all of us, has but one punishment. And congratulations on the weight loss. It's not easy but being able to buy "normal" clothes again, being able to walk without being exhausted - it's so worth it.
My MD was against the vaccine and signed my medical exemption. He is based, and I sent 4 co-workers to see him. It's hard to find a based MD, who is truly more interested in their patient's health, than cash. They are rare, but they do exist..
Wishing you the best on your health journey--the fun part of it is learning how to thrive in a creative way. Cooking is my favorite thing to do now, because I create all these great flavors in the kitchen. My cooking is way yummier than all the junk fast food out there and convenient "healthy" meals I was eating when I was morbidly obese. I agree with you--it is great being a normal and healthy weight, and not to have so much aches and pains and all the difficulties that come with being morbidly obese. You're right--it is extremely tiring to just walk around. Cheers!
