In 2016, Trump had to have all these DS operatives within his inner circle to have any chance of reaching the white house. I am assuming that many of the "ex Trump people" associated with project 2025 are these folks.

However, on the positive side, Project 2025 is like a weather balloon to see how each of these ideas fare and Trump can fine tune them in his final platform.
