I think Musk is the good guy, who hangs out with the bad guys to find out what they're up to.
KEEP YOUR FRIENDS CLOSE AND YOUR ENEMIES CLOSER FREN
seriously. i don't see any need for him to have 'flipped' whatsoever. he is playing a very important role in this, and i don't think they hand that role to just anybody.
You would not have been able to get where Musk is now if you hadn't played the game in a way that made the black hats if not trust you at the very least see you as non-threatening and potentially on their side. One had to seem at the very least like a useful fool, or one didn't get in.
Think Trump. Sure he talked some even before the ran for president, but he played with the black hats and mostly seemed like one of them, partying with the Clintons, smiling in photos with people like Epstein and so on. Would any of you have believed he was fully one of the good guys 20 years ago?
I think there is a reasonably good chance Musk has been one of the "moles" for a long time if not from the beginning, playing the game the way the black hats played it in order to both get into their circles and to get the money and the power that brings you so that he then could use both to fight them.
Or not. No way to know. But you will not get anybody who would look pure as snow on that level of power and influence. Because nobody who acted pure as snow the whole time would have been allowed to get there, they would have been stopped one way or another as being too big a risk for the cabal to allow somebody like that to gain the money and the power that brings.
And anybody with the brains to climb to that level has been smart enough to figure that out. Some started out corrupt, some have gotten corrupted, but others mostly just pretended for their own gain, and some have probably been playing the game as moles working for the white hat side, maybe from the beginning, or else they got recruited at some point when the white hats figured they detested the game and the players who forced them to play it their way, or not play at all.
And Musk wants to get in space, while the black hats seem to be against that. That alone could be enough for him to hate them. He isn't that much younger than I am, and there was a time, decades ago, when it looked like colonies on the Moon and Mars would happen fast enough that maybe even people my age might be able to get there. And then... if he has had a desire as strong as mine was he has to hate the people who stopped that drive, because even with all he has now personally managed to achieve towards that goal the time it has taken has been long enough that he may never be able to go himself.
It looks like Musk might very well be a real life version of D. D. Harriman from Robert Heinlein's short story "The Man Who Sold the Moon", somebody who wants something with his whole being, but in the end never really achieves that goal personally. In that story the billionaire who personally pushes humans into space in the end has to bribe a commercial rocket pilot to take him to the moon on the sly because he is old and in very bad health, and his caretakers would not allow it. In the end he dies once they reach the surface.
I'm pretty sure Musk would much prefer personally running a Mars colony right now to becoming a Moses who can only see his promised land, but is not able to enter it after almost reaching it.
