This is a win/win move for the deepstate.

If the attempt succeeded, they could still pin it on Biden and remove him.

The attempt failed, they'll still be able to pin the attempt on Biden and remove him.

But if it backfires, Trump gets elected with legal precedence set that he can unleash the Seals against the list of traitors.
