From behind would be the position of "escape corridor" or "secret service sniper".

Trump was fucking furious, he knows from where the shot came and was positioned where.

Why was this building at the side of him not occupied by security? It is the only large building very close to this place for the rally.

Someone made a poor decision on purpose. Because tjere were 2 snipers on that roof and one should have been on the other roof the shots came from.
