A shot from behind would have entered Trump's head.

A shot 180° behind the Trump shooter would have grazed Trump in the exact same way

Sorry, I can't see that. The way Trump positioned his head his right ear was behind him. It was facing the stand behind the podium.

If Trump were looking straight ahead then the shooter could have been behind but as Trump's head was turned 90° I think the shooter had to also be at 90°.
