I like this choice. Vance aligns with Trump’s populist “America First” political vision and can help Trump in the Rust Belt. Vance will help articulate Trump’s economic message to working-class voters and might help gain the support of labor unions, snatching away blue collar workers from the democrats. Of the three floated choices, Vance was obviously the best: Rubio is a RINO squish like Pence. And it wasn’t even clear if he met the residency requirement since he and Trump both reside in Florida. Doug Burgum has zero charisma and was the preferred choice of the Republican donor class. I wanted a fighter like Kari Lake or a smooth talker like Vivek, but Vance will do.
