That's been one of my favorite rebuttals to my lib friends for decades. It's so simple.

"Is that what you would say if it were your guy?"

That's all it takes. They either shut down or they say "But my guy wouldn't hurrr hur durrrrrrrr!!!1!" and they trail off into nonsense land while I laugh.
