We need to go back to purchasing from farmers. Right now I am buying eggs from church members and lots of produces coming from neighbors gardens. I just wish to go back to small producers.
Not only healthier food available, the farmers make decent money if they sell to you direct. I researched a Mango farm about 10 years ago in the Philippines. You need to own the land, plant the trees, and take care of them for years before you get much fruit. You get 10% the Wholesaler and Retailer etc... get the 90%
So to farm and make money you have to grow a lot and sell before it rots. The corporate capitalism got farmers by the balls. The further away from buying locally the worse it all gets.
Most illegals are employed for corporations. You want to see small businesses? Go to the poor countries. In the Philippines they have all kinds of street venders, often at their house, you have tricycle taxis. Here a small business is 100 or less employees. WTF that isn't a small business...
I tried to start several small businesses but gave up when I hit snags. Now I'm old and don't want to do much. I work as a security guard and can practice singing, go online to Youtube, and of course Great Awakening. 17 bucks an hour and I get overtime sometimes.
Yeah I get that. I wish I would have taken the leap earlier. Keep practicing your singing. If a janitor can get the golden buzzer, so can a security guard.
