In my own journey, I drew mainly from literature. You internalize great books and ideas of western civilization and even without a profound religious training, you get an education in the essence of Christianity and Judao principles. After that. It doesn't take much to open your eyes to God's word when it's presented.

You know what a deal with the devil looks like and you know nothing in this life, no reward is worth it. Dorian Gray is a great and simple object lesson.
