I used to be a fan of the Vulcans, but really, that narrative was missing a lot of important context. We (as in We The People) are only "illogical" because we are trained to be. At the level of actual decision making, they aren't illogical, they are just evil. At the level of what we think the decision making is, that's all completely theatre. It has nothing to do with what We The People actually think, and nothing to do with the actual decisions. It's the "Pretense In The Middle" that's designed to keep us stupid, angry, and irrational.

Once the top level is removed, the MiddleMen are removed, We The People are allowed to engage in honest debate, and we start using that debate to make our own decisions, there will be more than enough logic and respect that I think we will be just fine.
