So take a look at both DJT and GME. Both show very odd spikes. DJT's at exactly 6:45 ET up about 5% then right back to where it started. GME at 7:40 Up 4% then back where it started .
Then I decided to look at TSLA. It also had a spike except it was down 6% occurring at 5:10 then pops right back to 239 price it was before the spike.
Looked at some other stocks, XOM also showed a spike but in a trapezoid shape. PLG another stock I own, also showed a similar pattern. I could go on and on. Anyone have any explanation for these after hours spikes up and down?
Wait, there's market wide manipulation going on? When did this happen?!?
...
Welcome to 2021! :)
I don't know about those specific spikes, but ultimately everything is controlled by algorithms, specifically the Aladdin algo by Blackrock. I mean there's other shit going on, and there's reasons the computer makes those decisions, and they have been talked about to death on boards like r/Superstonk, but ultimately Aladdin is the likely culprit.
Everything is done in blocks across the board because it's all controlled by a single AI, which is controlled by the single corporation that exists in the world.
The market isn't so much a "market" as a Vegas strip, where all the Casino's are really the same Casino, all the games are 100% rigged, and the House Always Wins.
Exactly. That's the conclusion I'm coming too. And yet if you don't invest the value of your $ is eroded due to inflation; its a giant catch 22 ponzi scheme.
I also think if MOASS was to occur then who is to say the bad guys will play by the rules. If they have the ability to manipulate than why wouldn't they not do so to avoid their ruin. Will a caged bear not fight back? This is my concern right now
MOASS may or may not happen. In order for it to happen there must be something that shuts down their avenues of naked short selling. What causes that could be several things, but one or more of those things must happen first. The only way any of them can happen is if someone with the authority to make it happen wants it to happen.
In other words, what sets it off would have to be either a BH operation, designed to take down the entire economy or a WH operation, designed to take down the entire economy. Once it happens (I think a huge crash is inevitable), there will be a legal path to a "payout" for the stock hodlers. That legal path has lots of exit strategies. Whether or not those happen I think depends on who's in charge when the SHTF.
Gotcha. Makes sense, thank you for the clear analysis.
