This is a good take on it.

In addition, there is potentially a fair amount of gematria in the number 81. 8+1=9, and 9 is perfection. 8 signifies renewal/transcendence. 1 signifies new creation.

I also saw yesterday another fren pointing out that "Aces (1s) and Eights" is the Dead Man's Hand. Interesting idea to think about how it might fit, to this situation.
