Good girl. I know host of people in college days working in restaurants and said the tips were what they used to buy their books and things.

Exactly. And on a good Sunday night when I bartended alone I made rent money in tips. Servers didn't get minimum wage then, I assume that's still the same, so I only claimed enough tips to meet minimum wage at that time. The rest of my EARNINGS went to pay bills and tuition
