It shouldn't begin to amaze you. The Latin for left is sinister, with good reason. At best stupid and at worst evil.

The day-to-day way to deal with the left is as you would a toddler tantrum. You just go "Yes dear" and then carry on with whatever grown-up thing it is that you're doing.
