Officer looks like he is filled with soy piss and does even use the baton correctly. Look how much the handle spins towards him at impact, all the force spun in his grip and end up being a weak hit.
Best way to use a baton is grab it short end out, use the handle as a stop in the webbing between your thumb and index finger then use it to poke and crack ribs, don’t ask me how I know. Under the belt line is also good and if they turn, the kidneys are a sure fire way to take the starch out of them. An elbow strike with the baton is also nasty. I imagine the most effective technique’s with the baton would probably get you fired and are probably banned by the departments now. Most departments don’t even carry baton anymore, they rely far to much on the taser which only works I would say 40-50% of the time and far less in winter, when that fails you only have one more option most times.
Tasers were after my time as a cop, but one of my son in laws is a cop and he told me a story a few years ago about how his partner tased this guy on christmas day and the taser just didn't work because of the cold. The guy pulled the barbs out and started grappling with his partner and my son in law popped him in the noggin with a 2X4 that was laying on the ground and knocked him out. He got written up for not using the right tool or something like that.
Last second of video officer gets a lick on that sausquatch
