Members of Congress can't be arrested as long as they're in session and their session just ended. The Senate is going for another week though.

Not so. They can not be arrested for civil offenses. They can be arrested for serious things like treason, sedition or something similar. The senate session ends August 2nd and the house of reps August 9th.
