“We’ve determined no lethal shots were fired at the president and the SS did an admirable job of maintaining a presence in the area. We fully expect these proud men and women to continue in their great service.”
It grates me when an occasion nal speaker at church will address us as "sisters and brothers.". The term is "brothers and sisters", that's just how English is. Putting "sisters" first is a conscious decision and therefore distracting. If you want to acknowledge the females first, you say "ladies and gentlemen".
Imagine if someone ever opened with "gentlemen and ladies". Think about it... Right? "Brothers and sisters", "men and women".

My god you’re right, how could I have been so misogynistic
