God answered the prayers of millions of us by saving Trump, and brought many closer to becoming believers in Jesus. Two rabid anti-Trumpers in my family have made real progress in changing their minds, and now have something positive to say about Trump. One even thanked me for praying for Trump for years. That was a total about-face, and most unexpected.
Every time I pray for Trump's safety I ask that God save others as well, especially those I would like to know in the next life, and God is responding positively. Perhaps Jesus wants us to forgive, as He did, rather than judge. If we show some of the Love of Jesus and pray for the salvation of those who have been led astray, this period of people's seeking God's truth will be facilitated.
Please keep praying for Trump and others. I'm thinking of podcasters who claim to be atheists or agnostics, but we love them and want them to be saved.
Yes, He did! 🙌
Praying for all to have discernment. How wonderful you have seen a change in family members! 🙏
My sister's father-in-law was a Presbyterian pastor in West Palm Beach, so close to Mar-a-Lago. I suspect he would have loved Trump had they ever met. But it is very hard for some people who judge first and never learn about the person.
I believe it is God's design to be our judge and Jesus' will to forgive anyone who asks. He has so much love to give. My greatest sin in life has been unwillingness to forgive, and I've been trying to correct that.
When we judge others we forget that God knows all, forgives all, and loves all who do not reject Him. If God forgives one's sins, why should we not?
Some feel that we who believe are less intelligent than they because we believe in a God we cannot see. But I have known and believed for most of my 85 years, and I have never seen God, yet I know Him and that He is always there, waiting for our calls. That is the peace which passes understanding.
The person who falls off a mountain and dies is not alone; God is with him.
Forgiveness is my greatest battle...
It gets easier, especially if the person is not continuing to hurt others. I could give a personal example. My sister several years ago told me that our father, to whom I was extremely close (Daddy's girl), could not be in Heaven because he didn't go to church every Sunday. I responded that he was the most religious person I ever knew, and also the most forgiving of those who wronged him. As a very young man he was an occasional lay preacher at our Baptist church. He died just after his 48th birthday of pancreatic cancer, leaving six children still at home. There is no way God would not have accepted him. My sister has softened somewhat in the intervening years. Unfortunately, we disagree on practically everything, including politics and Covid. I had it five years ago-once, and she has had every shot and booster and gets Covid with each new shot. We agreed at some point that she and I would never agree, so we cannot discuss anything which would ruffle her feathers.
She has several advanced engineering degrees from RPI, so she is intelligent, but brainwashed. It's like we're from two different families. Still, when I saw the attempt on Trump's life, I immediately called and asked her to pray for Trump even though he is not her cup of tea, and she did. I was amazed at her response. Prayer works!
