I talked to a friend of mine who is actually at the conference and is in a better position to gauge the feel from the crowd. While people were generally not unhappy with Trump's speech, he lost a huge opportunity to get a lot of the crypto community on his side.
RFK spoke before him and set expectations on what a pro crypto administration should really look like. Not just holding on to crypto as a reserve, but actively transitioning towards it and accumulating it. This left Trump's rather mediocre support of the currency feeling a bit lacking. I still think most the of people will support Trump because they don't think RFK can win, but his policies left a lot to be desired in many people's eyes. Overall I think many (most?) feel Trump's speech was a big let down.
I disagree...How many Other Leaders are Pro Crypto and are willing to Actively support it while FIAT Investment Houses consistently put Crypto down? It Can Only be Positive...
I will say again. RFK. He spoke before Trump and set the crowd's expectations for what a crypto positive administration would look like. It's not that Trump was bad in absolute terms, but in relative terms compared to RFK he fell short.
