Tesla's breakthrough was wireless information.
He had a wireless remote-controlled boat in 1898
What Tesla discovered was the precursor to AM radio.
The "free energy" was hype --- you had to power the "free energy" to be useful for today's standards.
Sure ----- you can walk around an AM radio station and get "free energy" ----- but you have to make it first.

Thats right, but the nasty thing about this is that it has the power to destroy the whole planet. There is chatter that he did try this weapon out on a deserted part of Siberia, Tunguska.
