How would they know that (without a gun registry)?
I'm not really surprised by this. My assumption of the rational is that those owners haven't believed it's mattered to vote. I know some of these types.
Also, PA has lots of guns. "Gun owner" should probably be read as gunS owner. Very few have only 1. That statistic may be a bit misleading... as almost every one has 1 or 10 or so and probably a box of ammo, or two, or 100 to go with each gun. It's kinda like saying most car accidents happen within 3 miles of home.
When almost everyone has a gun out of almost 13 mil. people it shouldn't be to hard to get 4% that aren't registered to vote.
Its the same in Michigan. Most guns are unregistered legacy weapons. In Michigan we have a strong hunting tradition. Opening day is almost a State holiday. Buisnesses run on skeleton crews. The trades pretty much shut down for the week. Almost every family has one or two of these legacy weapons passed down through the generations. It is why I laugh at the numbers they give of gun owners and weapons available.
Now why would that be?
Well, gun shops should sign folks up like the dems do.
