The UK is about to recreate the Battle of Helm's Deep and take out some Orcs. This whole situation is getting wild and starting to look more and more apocalyptic, like something from Hollywood. Take back your homeland, mates.
I grew up watching cowboy flicks, and reading tales where courage, and heroism, and sacrifice came to life. Reading of how out founding generation believe freedom worth fighting for, and slavery worse than death.
I grew up watching Davy Crockett racing Mike Fink down the river because he would not renig on a bet made by his drunk partner, how he would not take advantage of an unfair happens cause it "just ain't right" or him and Russel staying at the Alamo when he could have ran because not only did he believe in what he was fighting for, but because his dander had been "gotten up", and by god there was going to be a fight.
I came up reading about G. Washington, and Paul Revere, watching Old Yeller, and Rare Breed with Kirk Douglas.
Much of it might have been untrue, but that past of heroes, and legends formed who I am as adult, formed who most of my generation became as adults.
I had intended to finish this off in a more rounded style, but get distracted, and not got to end. I'll just say, that I'm not sure the younger generations grew up like my generation did.
And Andy Griffith’s boy Opie recorded a criminal admitting to a crime and when he told his dad, the Sherrif, his dad destroyed the tape and told the boy that a ctitizen’s rights were protected under a thing called “The Constitution”
Yep. This generation will want to open up a can of woop ass but may be a bit old to get the can open.
I hope like hell the kids have learned from their parents because they are not getting this from the tv or movies.
You can't let a young'n decide for himself. He'll grab at the first flashy thing with shinny ribbons on it, and by the time he figures out it's got a hook in it, it'll be to late.

This generation will want to open up a can of woop ass but may be a bit old to get the can open. Ya made me laugh!
Us old guys might not be able to screw the lid off the can, but we can damn sure shoot it off. My trigger finger works better than ever.
And remember when Andy had a sitdown with the Hobo played by Buddy Epsen, about the influence he was having on Opie.
A lot of parents need to learn some parenting tips for Andy.

I sure hope they do.
