I posted here last November about bloodwork I had done that showed elevated Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, indicating hypothyroidism. Of course the medical professional (RN) I was seeing at the time wanted to put me on Levothyroxine. I resisted, started taking a kelp supplement thanks to the recommendation of the good people on this board, and this year my TSH is well within the normal range. However, unfortunately, now my cholesterol numbers are high, particularly triglycerides, so if anyone has ideas how to get that under control I would appreciate the help. In any case, thanks Great Awakening! Edit to add: The doctor wants me to try diet and exercise for 3 months and then retest cholesterol. So no prescriptions for now. Again, you people are wonderful!

I take calcium, vitamin D, vitamin K and the kelp, all as separate pills. I do wonder though, one of my cats (I'm one of those childless cat ladies JD Vance talks about, lol, except I'm for Trump all the way) anyway, one of my cats takes a transdermal gel for HYPERthyroidism, and I was kind of lackadaisical about washing my hands after I gave it to him, although I wore finger protectors and it comes out of a pen so getting it on my finger was highly unlikely. But after last November, when I had the high TSH score, I started being diligent about washing my hands with soap and water after I gave it to him. But I really think it's the kelp (iodine) that helped.
Interesting. My doctor did recommend the kelp pills but I just stopped taking my multi and I'm getting bloodwork in Sept and I'll see how thr levels are again.
Interesting on calcium pills.. I read those were actually worse for your body than getting calcium. I'll have to find that paper.
I take magnesium glycinate (my god this is amazing for sleep as hormones are starting to wake me at night...), vit d, zinc, c and I want to start taking beef organ pills again. I stopped to stay consistent on the separate vitamins..and make sure I wasn't feeling too weird or tired.
So you are a lady... Have you researched Superwoman blend essential oil mix? Absolutely stopped any heart palps from stress and balanced my hormones. I have recommended it to like 15 of my acquaintances and they all love it. They are less irritable... Stressed... Sleeping better. Just in case you need help in that area. 😉
I'm taking the calcium and vitamin D because I have osteopenia and I'm trying to reverse it. Vitamin K is also supposed to help with absorption of those two. That's interesting about the magnesium glycinate--I do have trouble sleeping because of night sweats. I'll research the Superwoman blend too.
Ah yes.. Osteopenia. Just learned about that on a Huberman podcast. Understood! Yes... Very good things on magnesium. Dr. Berg had a video about it.
Clary sage in superwoman is excellent for hormones. I'm over 40 and my doc was impressed with my hormone levels. I use a progesterone oil too (wild yam extract)
I was messed up being on the pill for so long and didn't want to continue... And superwoman has really helped...been on it 3 years. I don't sell oils... Didn't believe in them until a few years ago.. Superwoman saved my sanity and energy. Good luck! Keep me posted if you do try all that.
