Minnesota has something called a "Retention Recall Election" - Here is how the process works...

"Separate special election: In a separate special election, voters first vote on whether they want to recall the current governor.

If a majority of votes cast are against the recall, the sitting governor remains in office.

If a majority of voters cast are in favor of the recall, the governor is removed from office, and a separate special election is called to select a successor.
