"Dear friends around the world, a big leak concerning German Corona politics happened in Germany almost three weeks ago. A whistleblower from the Robert-Koch-Institute @rki_de, which is the central German public health authority, came up to me and gave me all internal documents of the Covid-19 crisis team. I published these documents on July, 23 on the website http://rki-transparenzbericht.de and announced the leak early in the morning on my X account: https://x.com/aya_velazquez/status/
On the same day at 10 a.m., a wonderful team of colleagues, including financial scientist Professor @SHomburg, and freelance journalist and educator @BBarucker gave a press conference in the centre of Berlin about the leaked documents. We have worked our way through the extensive material and presented it to the public that day for the first time.
My colleague @BBarucker has now dubbed the entire press conference into English - it is available in the post below on X, as well as on other platforms:
The documents of the Robert-Koch-Institute Covid-19 crisis team clearly show that the allegedly "scientific" Corona measures were in fact politically instructed. This is a scandal of international proportions - since the documents also contain evidence, p.e. letters from the French government, that the Corona measures were internationally "harmonized" in order to make them seem "without alternative" and enhance the acceptance among citizens globally.
For Germany, the new RKI leak is a big step towards coming to terms with the abusive corona policy of the last years, the systematic violation of fundamental rights and civil liberties - so that such a crime may never be repeated.
Whistleblower leaks secret covid-19 documents of Germany´s public health institute(RKI): On the morning of July 23, 2024, the investigative journalist @aya_velazquez published all the documents of the Covid-19 crisis team of the Robert-Koch-Institute (RKI). A whistleblower who worked at the RKI sent her the documents and 10GB of accompanying material. A press conference on this historic revelation followed at 10:00am.
Also present at the conference were the financial scientist Professor @SHomburg and the freelance journalist and educator @BBarucker, who had received the documents from Ms. Velázquez in advance and worked through them.
Professor Homburg, you are one of the few people who have already read the completely redacted minutes of the Robert Koch Institute's (RKI) coronavirus crisis team, which were made public by journalist Aya Velázquez on July 23. What new insights have you gained from reading it?
The most important point is undoubtedly that the risk assessment was not carried out by the RKI on a scientific basis, but was dictated by politicians. In March 2020, the Federal Ministry of Health instructed the RKI to set the risk level to "high" in order to justify lockdowns, school closures and more. The ministry later repeatedly rejected requests from the RKI to lower the risk level. In 2023, the RKI learned from the newspaper that Federal Health Minister Lauterbach had declared the pandemic over.
The RKI is the highest epidemiological authority in the Federal Republic of Germany. You might think that the task of the expertise gathered there should be to draw up recommendations for policy-makers based on the available scientific data in order to steer Germany through the pandemic in the best possible way. You claim that such a reading is wrong. What is the correct one?
The correct reading is undoubtedly that politicians issued detailed instructions to the RKI. According to the minutes, RKI even checked legally whether the orders from politicians were legal. The answer was: yes.
What evidence do you base your view on?
On the one hand, there are the minutes published by the RKI itself and, on the other hand, the complete and unredacted minutes received from the whistleblower. We also have the RKI's entire email correspondence on coronavirus and several gigabytes of additional material such as letters, presentations and internal working papers.
At the press conference at which Aya Velázquez and you presented the RKI files, there was also talk of a missing protocol. What is this all about?
Due to a court order, the RKI had published minutes up to April 2021 itself, but the protocol from May 9, 2020 was missing. We have now found this protocol in the jumble of data, it was sorted incorrectly. We don't know whether this was a coincidence or intentional.
What is it about?
Trivialities, so I believe these minutes were an oversight. More critical is the protocol from March 25, 2020, the original version of which was subsequently embellished. The RKI only published the embellished version. This could constitute forgery of documents.
The protocols are said to have been leaked to Aya Velázquez by a whistleblower and, unlike the redacted protocols that the magazine "Multipolar" had sued for, cover the years 2020 to 2023, and therefore the entire period of the pandemic. They therefore also allow a comparison between two federal governments and their health ministers Jens Spahn (CDU) and Karl Lauterbach (SPD).
Were you able to identify any significant differences in government action based on the protocols?
Federal Ministers Spahn and Lauterbach both issued instructions to the RKI and forced the institute to mislead the public. One difference in their conduct in office is that Spahn used the RKI to enforce harmful lockdowns and school closures, while Lauterbach used the RKI to create strong pressure to vaccinate.
Speaking of vaccination pressure, one issue that still concerns many people is the effectiveness and safety of vaccines. What did you find in the minutes of the RKI crisis team?
At the beginning of 2021, the RKI learns about the serious side effects of the AstraZeneca vaccine, but does nothing to stop it. Later, there is hardly any information on this topic because pharmacovigilance is the responsibility of the Paul Ehrlich Institute, not the RKI.
There is a lot of outrage on social networks about Spahn's talk of the "pandemic of the unvaccinated". The protocols say: "Not correct from a technical point of view, the entire population contributes. Should this be taken up in communication?" It goes on to say: "Minister tells this at every press conference, presumably deliberately, cannot be corrected." Sounds pretty submissive, doesn't it?
This submissiveness pervades the entire 4,000 or so pages. The RKI implemented whatever arbitrary guidelines came from the ministry. The fact that there was no "pandemic of the unvaccinated" also means that the RKI had to know that the vaccines did not provide "sterile immunity", i.e. did not effectively protect against infection, but at best against severe courses. Nevertheless, for a long time it was said that those who got vaccinated were protecting themselves and others.
How do you explain this?
The decisive factor is the lack of protection against transmission, or external protection, because compulsory vaccination can legally only be based on this. Since not even Pfizer had claimed any external protection in its approval study, everyone knew that none existed. The public and, above all, the courts were clearly lied to on this point in order to maximize the pressure to vaccinate.
The leaked protocols allow a partial reappraisal of the coronavirus management. However, the RKI crisis team was not the only body in which the course was set. There were the meetings between Chancellors Merkel and Scholz and the minister presidents of the federal states, the German Ethics Council and later the Corona Expert Council. Wouldn't a Bundestag commission of inquiry, half of which would be made up of MPs and experts and half of opponents and supporters of the measures, be a body that could take a look at the minutes of the other committees and thus contribute to a complete review?
I am firmly against a commission of inquiry and even more so against citizens' councils. Because the RKI protocols show concrete and infamous misconduct, a parliamentary committee of inquiry, which has court-like powers, is the only appropriate instrument.
In politics, however, there seems to be little sympathy for such a committee. As a long-standing political advisor, do you see any alternatives here?
Because almost all political parties have participated in the failed lockdown and vaccination policy, they want to sweep the issue under the carpet. That's why the public, the judiciary and the scientific community need to get to grips with the issue.
