Only way we can turn that off is to take out the battery.
Which is infeasible on most modern phones...except the Samsung Xcover6 pro (unfortunately its kinda slow and has crappy camera).
My tin foil hat tells me they took away removable batteries on purpose: two birds one stone - planned obsolescence (force you to buy new phone), spying on you (this case)
