Why do we keep on giving attention to our European overlords? Why do [they] still matter in a space we cleared 250 years ago? Asking for the US citizens.

I don't give an ass rat about them but they are the ones, or so it seems, controlling a lot of the world events. WEF, Vatican, UN are all part of them. I am not sure that we as U.S corporation is not under them.
