Every @harleydavidson rider is going to want to see this. It sure sounds like CEO Jochen Zeitz admits that he took the Harley job because it was an opportunity to transform an American icon into embracing wokeness and DEI.
Read the quotes below carefully. He said this at a Synergos ‘David Rockefeller Leadership Award’ event. Synergos says they work to "dismantle systems that create the most urgent problems of our time…. social injustice and climate change."
Doesn’t that just scream HARLEY-DAVIDSON!?
"As diverse as we could possible be as a brand and a business, and celebrate diversity and inclusion… That’s one of the reasons why I took the job because I believe in an incredible American icon and the transformation and the opportunity to contribute positively to a very divisive society."
He goes on to say that "politics and politicians can only do so much… but business can be a significant force for good and not just because it’s the right thing to do, it’s the right thing for the business itself, being inclusive I think is a critical component."
Harley has a problem and his name is Jochen Zeitz. No one can credibly argue that this guy isn’t a far left activist. In my view it’s clear that he’s telling us he took the job to transform Harley into a woke company. Customers, workers and dealers reaching out to me are angry. Harley’s board has a very limited window to act before permanent damage is done to the brand.
Straddling the fence isn’t going to work as more videos come out of Jochen’s words.
I bought a Harley that was made when Harley lost control to AMF. It’s heavily modified to look like a different year and not so ghey. I’m just hoping my old riding club “approved patched RC” will see this as a bad thing. I left the club because half the members flipped off American flags. Of course the idea of a club is outside a country and outside of laws, but it tells who you are with what you align with. There are definitely some left who have no desire to .. let’s just say be vaxxed by the government for taxes.
This story is mostly just a caution for people. Yes these guys will beat you up, or suppprt you by fighting for you. Some will spit on your face for not wearing a mask though. As sad as it is to type out and read. Still sheep. Angry sheep.
Oh, were they that sheepish? I thought they were the ones who said, "*F the masks " and went to Sturgis during the Covid lockdown.
Depends on where you live. Our RC has over 250 members on paper but only around 50-90 show up for events (depending on the event). The majority are overwhelmingly conservative and we have a few vocal very right extremists that make even me back off sometimes (extremist is not good on either side).
For the most part we all get along because we try to keep politics off the convo table and make it about enjoying the ride, but since 2020 that’s almost impossible to do. The left thinking ones are older and part of the old democratic ways and just can’t see that it’s no longer the party they grew up with.
Yeah since Covid, you cannot avoid politic.
Actually since the stolen election in 2020. COVID didn’t affect most riders in fact I rode more during that time than ever before because there was nothing else to do :)
The 2020 election was when all our conversations changed. Everyone flys flags 24x7 now (on the bike and/or in the home front yard) and politics invaded the convo of every gathering.
You mean MC (3 patch club) not RC (2 patch club), right? RCs are normal people who enjoy the ride mostly to distress after a long week [me]. MCs are the one who live outside the law.
I was in a single patch RC sanctioned by the local Jokers. I’m talk about both clubs. Both had members pro vax.
Maskholes? omg. I am SO not being able to picture that right now. huh.
