You are a good parent, but not all of them are like that. Some are in fact hands-off. I know some. One of the kids die of drugs and breaking into people's home and got shot by a retired Marines. Then the parents want to sue and was counseled against such.
Thank you, I raised a good man. This was sort of my point, how the hell do parents have a child that is going through something like this and not know? Where are they? You can have rules and a disciplined life and still be full of love and support and trust. Letting the schools raise your child and then wanting to sue them because of the result is a little too late, in my opinion.

I agree with you. My parents would never let us get to that point.
