This can not be emphasized enough. As a parent; Live for the best development of your children. Help them, not yourself. Grow with them. Read to them when their young. Stop your world for them when they're kids. Teach them to work and save money. Do everything you can to enable them to stand without you and they'll carry you when you're old and bring your grandkids to know you. Love them.
Actually, I think you should just house the children and give them everything the law requires of them while you and your wife both go to work and leave them for 2-3 hours to fend for themselves after school. Then, as parents, be so tired you can't help with homework and just veg out on vapid normie brainwash TV ignoring them. , Never play with them, and then justify it that your income is getting bigger every year and what you do is really super important because your'e a doctor or a teacher and your clients and your kids (meaning students) are more important than your own. And that's fine because they'll inherit a lot, when we're dead, even if the life goes by and they aren't happy, they can be both sad and rich at the same time.
Let your kids pick up bad things from other latchkeys, and eventually have unaddressed behavioral problems in their teens and at university. Even if your adult children figure stuff out, you still have serious dysfunction and emotional absenteeism and terrible communication skills with each of your parents families (they divorced while you were a teenager), at EVERY damned holiday--which you hate, because all the unresolved problems in the past come back again. You went through your drug phase, then your shut in phase, then your mental health self help phase, then your serious disease phase, then your acceptance phase and then your conspiracy phase and now you're making memes to save the world online, telling people the uncomfortable truths about how bad the government is. Maybe at this point, you've gotten into a habit of working out, gardening and doing serious research that is helping lawyers and law enforcement catch baddies, but wouldn't it have been nice if you could have just one family, that worked well together, that did business together in the same town and built a generation of self-actualized, happy individuals? Bah, that's a pipe dream.
yeah, I think dysfunctional adult latchkey way is the best way because it's all I know.
I've chosen less material treasure in order to have my kids. Good for you for coming through life stronger/better fren. My kids are my present and future while I have them. Being a latch key, I'd rather struggle to make it and have them, over what our world was growing up.
Well said... Cheers fren... ☕☕☕
