In a general sense, yes. Some newer cars have mufflers more towards the center and just have piping coming to the rear. With EVs the designers always make it a point that there is no piping at the rear of the car nor a space where piping could be. Makes that "zero emissions" statement stronger.

Yea, but many gasoline cars tend to hide those pretty well tho, you would have to get really low to see if they're there.

Which reminds me, most EVs have the batteries at the bottom. So look for SUVs with no ground clearance and it's typically a EV, even if the model says "sedan". They're generally much higher to fit the battery.
